A Brief History

Started out as a copywriter and was then promoted to copyeditor at an American MNC where I learned how to write and edit to fit a corporate voice (albeit a humorous one). Moved on to travel writing next, where one voice turned to multiple ones to suit various publications and corporate clients.

Took a year off to do a Master’s Degree in Communication Management and did a side hustle freelancing for a former client and gained a couple of new ones.

Went on to do a year of editorial work in an extremely niche field: private aviation and the ultra-luxurious lifestyle that surrounds it. Biggest gains were getting to work with top players in the aviation field, as well as profile CEOs and other key industry leaders running luxury markets across APAC.

Made the switch to hard news journalism to hone my interview skills, then did a stint at an automotive company to pick up digital and traditional marketing experience.

Currently looking to grow and develop what I’ve learnt and done in new places that would love a content creator who’s always up for a challenge. I am eager to get back into doing what I do best: creating.

Cool facts about me:

  • Flexible between British and American English (although my colonised ass defaults to Br.E. always)

  • Will always use APA referencing and AP house style as they are the superior choice

  • Will use the Oxford Comma whenever appropriate. It is not worth debating over; sometimes it’s useful, sometimes not

  • Will start dozens of sentences and never complete them, but it’s only because finding the perfect one takes trial and error

  • Able to use ‘whom’ correctly
